New Video: Currently David is working on a new video project with artist Betsy Stewart and composer Ashraf Fouad. The 15 minute video is titled Watering and contains three seperate movements; Approach, Encounter, and Drift. Every aspect of living can be realized through the medium of water. Crucial to the support of life, water is elemental to the earth and to the physical makeup of our own bodies. The disconnect (both internal and external) between humans and their liquid environment is a fragile condition. The digital video Watering serves as a meditation on this alienation and the process of reconnection with water. This relationship between individuals and water is also evident between cultures in a world that is constantly changing and in turmoil with itself. The video captures the simultaneous nature of the internal drama between joy, fear and vulnerability inherent in the search and acceptance of the unknown.
